Thread: Gunner art (no, not my dog, har har)

It'd make sense to have a firearm primary class, if they want to showcase the new weapons rather have them as bad secondary weapons.

My guess is that there would be 3 adventurer classes - ranger, assassin and 'gunner'?

I'm hoping the lineup is something like Warrior, Paragon, Ranger, assassin, gunner, necro, ele, mesmer. That's a lot of ranged though.

Well, there are no spears in GW2 so if the paragon class does resurface it would probably be sword n board (IE, melee).

    So melee:
    Paragon, warrior, assassin

    Ranged:
    Ele, Gunner, Necro, Mesmer

    Both:
Ranger (they can use/focus on melee if so desired)

So yeah, skewed a little more toward ranged but not too much imo. I'm hoping your class forecast is accurate I really want to see the mesmer return (it's a unique class), I love the idea of a gunner, and gimme back my paragon plox.

There is the possibility that this pictures are fakes, since no other profession can use dual guns so far.
It would be mean, if one profession gets an own weapon integrated in the game.

    In all fairness, look at "modern" weaponry from 200 years backs in the real world (;

how do we know that isn't an Assassin. They will probably be able to duel wield pistols. The hood and spiky armor definitely makes me think Assassin.

That guy in the hat looks super badass. I hope there is a gunner class.

Risugami, this picture is official concept art, and it was titled "Sniper". Concept art doesn't mean anything about it being in the game at this time (as they have stated that at some stage they had a lot more professions, but they eventually just merged them into the ones they have now), but at some time they have also stated:

"At least one profession that can use guns but not bows"
(although they have also stated that there will be no profession called "gunner").

When you keep in mind that every profession in GW2 is set up to do both melee and ranged damage (though in some cases, the ranged attacks are spells), then it does become very likely that the new and redesigned assassin profession will be the one to have access to guns, but not to bows. Or the last remaining "mystery" profession could indeed be a gunner-style profession... but then, what kind of melee attacks would that profession have?

I don't know, being shot in the face with a pistol would be a pretty good melee

No, pistols are like shortbows in GW1... they may have a shorter range, but they're still ranged weapons.
So just like the ranger is able to use swords, axes and daggers for melee combat, and the elementalist can use scepter and dagger for close-range combat, every class in GW2 will receive some kind of melee attacks. So if a 'gunner'-style profession would exist, the question is, what kind of melee combat would fit there.

Linking this one because it's kinda big: "dual gun desert"

    and:

Many skills are totally changed that entirely making them very unique in comparison to the other classes of the same type. Adventure classes are one of the best classes because you can learn many things from these classes and you feel the good. These type of art classes are available in Melbourne. I have read your post. It is so good and useful. Link is not working. Please update it. Thanks
