The Winterblades community has been playing together in various forms since Ultima Online back in 1998. Over the years, through skill, determination, and dedication, the guild developed into one of the premiere guilds in the open pvp-MMO Shadowbane. Our joint struggles and sacrifices have forged an enduring camaraderie with allies and opponents throughout the games we've played.
Among the great strengths of the Winterblades is the quality of our members. We have always favored quality over quantity. We have all developed a trust in each other and in the guild and understand that in contributing to the guild we help ourselves. We are not an association of players that band together out of convenience in-game or for fear of death and loss of assets.
“The measure of a man is not the respect of his friends, but the respect of his enemies.” The respect the Winterblades have enjoyed amongst our former foes is one of our greatest sources of pride. Our success on the battlefield, our stability as a guild, and the quality of our leadership can be measured not only by the members, but by the actions of our former rivals. We have had multiple guilds, ones that were once amongst our greatest foes, sub or merge into the Winterblades after meeting us on the field. The respect the Winterblades have gained amongst our former rivals represents some of our greatest achievements.
Winterblades is now accepting applications for Guild Wars 2. We are looking for members that have a guild-first attitude and a PVP-mindset. Being able to follow instructions is one of the major traits that separates us from other guilds, and our new members must reflect this. We expect a certain amount of maturity from our members, and we have been doing this long enough to know that maturity is not the same as age.
