    Guild Wars 2 for PS3?

Been reading a few rumors out that Guild Wars 2 could possibly hit the PS3. Though I'm sure it will have a huge delay after the PC release.

Anyone hear this rumor yet? NCSoft and Sony became partners not too long ago and with both being free-to-play online I can see something like this working out.

Hey, moved this out of the announcement forums because it doesn't really fit there.

    This is a rumor I haven't seen.

I haven't found anything truly correlating with this rumor other than people's speculation on what they'd prefer and how they think it would turn out.

I don't think it would be a horrible idea as long as the servers were obviously cross platform. The game wouldn't be successful if they were completely different servers. (I really feel that's how all online multiplayer games should really be) It also may be too much for a player to handle on PS3 with a controller. I mean, if you're going to play it on PS3 with a mouse and a keyboard, I find it difficult to see why putting it on PS3 would be necessary. However, I wouldn't be against the idea so long as it was properly implemented.

Perhaps they'll play a wait and see with DC Universe Online

Highly unlikely. Arenanet have clearly stated that the game is being developed for PC only... they only have some interface programs on mobile devices and such, but you will not be able to play the game from those.

    It's even in their FAQ:
What platforms will Guild Wars 2 be available on?
Guild Wars 2 is being developed for the PC.

I share the same notions, but at the same time dont wanna say never-say-never. That said, despite being a PS3 guy I'm not exactly rooting for it to be on console anyway.

Welcome to the baords, by the way Centaur!

it's very possible. They released FFXI on the PS2! the ps2! lol. Who knows. Would be very interesting. You can always plug in a USB keyboard and mouse to the ps3.

As long as they don't start designing the PC game's menus/controls for a console controller. I played a little of the Final Fantasy Leventy Billion and Two (or whatever the second MMO was :B) beta and holy hell was that interface painful.

If they go the way of releasing it on a console as well they could take a hint from DragonAge where the controls for the PC-version and the console versions are very different and based on what the targeted machine can handle.
