Grouping & Loot in VL
Though we're a casual-friendly guild, Vanishing Legacy has a simple philosophy on group content in MMOs: it's fun to do well.
This means that, when we're grouping together - whether it's a group consisting solely of guild members, or we've got others with us - we try to do the best job we can. It's no fun to have to tackle difficult content when you don't feel like everyone's giving their all.
Simply put, what does this mean in terms of our expectations of our members?
- You can be serious when needed
- You can keep a cool head when things aren't going well
- You care about fun while playing in a team, not just the loot
- You're willing to learn to perform your role the best way you can
- You're willing to use voice chat, if only to listen
What can you expect from your guildmates?
- A friendly but focused attitude to achieve our goals
- Fellow players who are knowledgeable about their role, or willing to learn from others
- A flexible schedule without any attendance tracking or mandatory raids
- Fairness and openness when it comes to any loot or materials
Ranks and responsibilities in Vanishing Legacy
Our guild uses a simple ranking system without a lot of sub-ranks or separate roles between members and officers. All officers are, first and foremost, also members of the guild, and so any rules that pertain to members also go for them. Now, to explain how the ranks work.
4: Junior member
As a player, you never really know how things will work out with a new guild until you\ve played with it for a while. As a guild, you're never quite sure how well the new recruit will fit in until you've socialized in game. That's what this rank is for.
Junior members can:
Talk in guild chat
Sign up and join any planned run
Organize groups/runs
Roll on loot that drops
Post on the forum as soon as they are approved/registered
Have an alt invited into the guild
Junior members can't:
Make use of any guild bank or guild resources
Receive any loot that we use the Suicide Kings system for (possible exceptions)
To be promoted from junior member to member, a junior member:
Needs to be a member of the guild for at least a week (it can also take a longer period, it all depends on the member)
Should prove themselves friendly and social
Be active on our forum (even if only viewing it regularly)

3: Member
Everyone in the guild who's not a recruit (Junior Member) is a member. This goes for officers, elders and the leader, too. The rules go for everyone, and nobody is more important than anyone else in terms of loot or any other kind of priority.
Members can:
Talk in guild chat
Sign up and join any planned run
Organize groups/runs
Roll on loot that drops
Post on the forum
Receive loot on runs that use Suicide Kings
Withdraw items and/or currency from the guild bank (subject to daily limits)
Have all, or as many alts as they like in the guild
Members can't:
Manage/admin the Suicide Kings list
Invite other players
See, approve or deny applications
Talk in officer chat
