The Shadow Legion [TSL] will be entering Guild Wars 2. (WvW/PVP/PVE)

    RECRUITMENT

The Shadow Legion is currently looking for new members, however we are picky on who we let in. We are not a massive recruiting zerging guild, and if that's what you're looking for you'll have to look elsewhere. As a PVP guild, we do not tolerate immaturity, drama, or any sort of disrespect amongst members. We are looking for fun people who can not only get along, but work alongside each other. We are looking for members who love to PVP as we have been a PVP guild since we formed in 1998. We look to dominate any server and/or game that we play and are looking for those who are striving to be the best.

The Shadow Legion is a PVP guild unlike any other. The guild has been successfully gaming since 1998 at the release of Ultima Online (Pacific server). Members look at the guild more as a family or group of friends who are very close and social group. The guild is more than just a tag above our members heads. The Shadow Legion is a name that we are all very proud to call ourselves. We are looking for a few more members as we embark on this new game.

    What we are looking for:
We are looking for more fun, mature and social players who enjoy PVP'ing and are looking for a family of players who work well together to dominate any groups we face. We have players who are interested in every aspect of the game (PVP and PVE), but all of our members understand the importance of working together as a team.

    Potential members MUST:
    - Enjoy PVP. We are a PVP guild first and foremost.
    - Have Ventrilo and a working mic
    - be mature and have respect for others in the guild
    - be able to have fun and enjoy playing with others
    - be registered on our forums and it would be a good idea to give a short intro

We are not looking for members who are drama queens, immature, or anti-social. We are a fun and close group of friends who are looking to add to our already successful group. Our guild ranges in gameplay style, from powergamer to casual evening and weekend types to when time permits type of players. We are all in our 20's - 40's. Due to the maturity requirement, we will likely only accept members who are 18+.

Feel free to read up on our history below and if interested, please go to our website (www.shadowlegion.net) and register and leave a message on our forums to introduce yourself.

    HISTORY

[TSL] - The Shadow Legion was formed on the Pacific Shard in Ultima Online in 1998 and has a long PVP history that has spanned through many games. During our time in UO, we warred any who would cross us and defeated everyone who faced us. Victories against all of the top guilds on Pacific left the name The Shadow Legion engraved in the memories of all those who played during our days there. Known as a fierce fighting force who never backed down from a fight, never gave an inch, and who worked together as a team like no other, still to this day people approach us with memories they have of our many years spend on UO:Pacific.

With the release of Shadowbane, TSL found a new home on the world of Treachery. Having played Beta, we became one of the Covenant of Swords nations and destroyed all who faced us. Quickly realizing that the server was severely unbalanced and that our nation not only held a massive advantage in not only numbers, but skill against the opposing nations who had no previous experience in the game, it was decided among the founding leaders of CoS that one or two of the nations should probably leave to create some competition. After a week with no other guild willing to step forward, the leadership of TSL decided that in order to help the server we would volunteer to leave CoS to help the massively outmatched and outnumbered nations. CoS leadership agreed and TSL left CoS.

TSL left and were immediately looked at as untrustworthy from the few nations that were left to fight off CoS. It was not until TSL came to the aid of [KGB] The Knight of Glory and Beer and helped the allied nations defeat CoS for the first time that TSL was looked upon as an ally. At this point the war began to shift and allied towns were being saved all over the map. For the first time in the history of Treachery, CoS was given a real fight. Eventually the allied nations of CoS/PRX dissolved and the alliance of TSL/KGB/ML ruled the land. The server would be shut down and TSL would again reign supreme on the next two servers they played on until Shadowbane eventually closed their doors for good.

TSL would then move over to World of Warcraft. We would succeed in not only PVP (Arenas and Battlegrounds) but would also thrive at PVE. Being primarily a PVP guild, we were disappointed with the lack of world PVP in World of Warcraft, but many of us would stay with the game for several years hoping that a game would come out where there was a happy medium between instance and non-instance (World) PVP.

Rift brought us another game that TSL became successful at, however the game itself was a failure. TSL quickly became a well known guild on Regulos as we were often leading groups all over the lands killing any enemies who crossed our path. Making a name for ourselves in both World PVP and Warfronts (Battlegrounds), TSL quickly rose up as one of the top PVP guilds on the server. Unfortunately the game itself would not keep the interest of the general playing population and guilds all around us began to disappear. Servers were deleted, characters were transferred and TSL began to play again on Briarcliff although our numbers had already taken a hit with there being nobody to fight against on our former server. TSL at our peak had 50+ members on Regulos but have now since halted our concentration on this game with the impending release of Star Wars: The Old Republic.

With the impending launch of Guild Wars 2, many of us who played beta discovered that this would be yet another game where we could thrive once again.

Have been approached by a couple of guilds who remember us from previous game. Glad to see some familiar faces around.

Something I wanted to point out is that we don't have any class restrictions. We recruit based on the persons out of game character, not their in game one.

Look forward to hearing back from more of you.

For those that have been asking, when I listed PVP in the thread title, that certainly does include WvW.

Also, the website is new. I decided to remake our website. Our forums are new as well, so to all of those that had registered with us before, you'll need to do so again.

We believe this website is a nice upgrade on our abilities to be able to dramatically increase our communication with others outside of the game. Hope you enjoy.

If you are looking to stay away from the zerg crowds or getting lost in the crowd in the large mass recruiting guilds, drop by and give us a look.

Still looking for some more players that are looking to join a solid guild that has been around for over 12 years. We are group focused and want members who enjoy working with other guildmates in game. We have a solid core that are already moving over to Guild Wars 2. We're certainly not a fly by night guild. We're not a massive recruiting guild... but we do have the numbers to back ourselves up and just looking to add a few more.

Pop by our website and have a look around.

We've had a few guilds who recognize us about alliances. At this point we are not formally declaring any alliances simply because we don't know which server everyone is going to, and alliances will likely be everyone else on the server to win at WvW.

Still looking for more members who are looking to enjoy all aspects of Guild Wars 2. We accept both powergamers and casuals... as long as you enjoy playing as a group and like to have fun.

Look forward to hearing from more of you.

    Shameless bump.

I mentioned this a couple of posts above, but apparently the 'mass recruiters' aren't listening. We are not looking for alliances right now. We have also not declared which server we are going to go to. One of the reasons we have not declared which server we are going to is because we want to make sure we don't go to the same server as the mass recruiting guilds so we're not forced to ally with them

We are not allying with any of you mass recruiters.... you're the people we are going to be killing.

Some of our members are now playing Diablo 3. If you're looking to get to know a few members of the guild, we're on nightly. Diablo 3 is just a stopgap game until the one we're all waiting for comes out. We have members who are just starting Diablo and others that are into the inferno level.

    Shameless bump.

We've had several people who have applied to the guild and have accepted a few so far. We are only looking for other fun gamers who enjoy working in groups and enjoy a fun social atmosphere... but also enjoy going out and pushing peoples face in when it comes to PVP. We've been around for a long time and won't suddenly disappear like many around here.

We still haven't declared our server. Nobody really knows what the final server names will be, and we want to see where the so called mass recruiting guilds go to so we can make sure we stay clear and are able to fight against them in WvW.

Come take a look at our website.
