How Do You Use Your Warrior?

My first, and always most loved character from Guild Wars is my warrior. I've been tweaking, and rocking with my Warrior since Prophecies and he will always be my main. Before Fractions came out, I was pure warrior and didn't use any secondary skills. I was basically a glass War cannon, who could kill Necs and Messies in three hits but unless I had a healer I would go down easy.

Factions came out, and I changed up my strategy by going Assassin with my secondary. I've never looked back. I use Death's Charge and Shadow's Refuge for my sustained healing spells, and Death Charge closes distance on ranged characters as a secondary function.

Here's my build right now, with average dmg outputs

regular attacks on non-buffed casters - 27-32 dmg
    Final Thrust - 120-135 dmg
Sever Artery - 25 second bleed duration
Gash - 45-55 dmg, 20 deep wound duration
    Galrath Slash - 85-95 dmg
Pure Strike - 55-60 dmg (no block)
Death's Charge - Heals 146 HP, shadow step
Shadow Refuge - +8 hp regen, 76 HP
    Res Sig

What are your thoughts on my build? What can I do to improve it? I know I don't have any knockdown or condition attacks. Just don't want to give up my damage, as I can lay the smackdown on casters given the proper support.

My opinion is to drop Galrath Slash because of the high adrenaline count. You have Final Thrust which depletes ALL adrenaline...so having Galrath Slash there is a bit of a waste.

Shadow Steps have always been a favorite of mine on melee classes to quickly get in and out of the fray. Don't change anything there.

In place of Galrath Slash, I recommend an elite skill for swordsmanship. I suggest Hundred Blades for swordsmanship because it does not require adrenaline..so you can save it for Final Thrust.

Since having Hundred Blades, Death's Charge, and Shadow Refuge requires energy...having Pure Strike in there would seem too energy costly...and we don't want to inhibit your usage of your healing...so in place of Pure Strike I suggest "For Great Justice"! Getting more adrenaline to pump out Final Thrust is a good idea...and the 45 second recharge guarantees that your energy will not be drained much.

If you still wanted Pure Strike for anti-block, then replace Hundred Blades for it.

So your final build would be...

    Sever Artery
    Gash
    Final Thrust
Hundred Blades {E} OR Pure Strike (Depending on your preference)
    "For Great Justice!"
    Death's Charge
    Shadow Refuge
    Resurrection Signet

I made my warrior the smallest girl I could. Something about seeing a 90 pound girl main tank multiple elite mobs 2 stories tall.

Some of the most fun I had with my War was the Obsidian tank. She actually used an elemetalist elite skill, Obsidian Flesh. Super fun build! http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:W/E_Obsidian_Tank

I was such a one-trick pony on my Warrior. I always told pickup groups "Look...all I got is dragon slash and awesome armor. So no, I can't run anything else," lol.

EDIT: If you are wanting to run an obby tank I always felt the Elementalist made a superior one, particularly with some of the faction skills. But again...I haven't played awhile either.

I don't have the latest expansions, so my skill sets are limited. I liked running my condition stacker (Axe) and KD (Hammer) builds. I never got much into the sword builds. I was messing around in RA a while back and saw some crazy tank build, skills I hadn't heard of before, but they held on for a while against 4 players (I was running my R/N touch build). Tanking is fun, but so are the damage output builds.

Yea hammer was the way to go,
so fun to knock everyone down and then knock 'em down again...
It can be quite the pain in the ass to fight.

Especially fun when u hit the last microsecond of an elementalist casting meteor shower or the like; really satisfying.

On the other hand, spamming skills with an axe that attacks at the speed of light is fun too.

EDIT; I write in the past time because it's been a year since I've played My contributions aren't that valuable at the time being I suppose.
