    Favorite Guild Wars Campaign

There have been four Guild Wars campaigns in all, starting with Prophecies and ending with Eye of the North. Everyone has their favorite, and figured we should have thread discussing the matter.

And what kind of thread would this be without a poll?!

I've always been most fond of Prophecies. The scale of the story starting with pre-searing, leading up to the final battle is nothing short of extraordinary. I haven't played through the final mission in quite some time (probably in about 4 1/2 years, so things might have changed), but I remember it being so difficult and requiring some of the craziest team dynamics I had seen in a game up until that time. Just could never be recaptured.

    Factions, hands down!
I don't know if it's easy or not but I've been through that game more times than I can remember and I never get sick of it.
    I miss it!

ha, go play it right now!

I liked Factions, I thought the whole battle between Kurzick/Luxon dynamic was pretty cool. And at the time was an interesting way of dividing the player base against itself. My problem with Factions is the final boss fight was lackluster. I think Shiro had one skill that was devastating and the rest didn't match up.

I voted Prophecies first...but Nightfall is a close second for me.

Definitely Nightfall. Great story, and I loved the introduction of the Heroes. Not quite sure what I'd vote second, as I like both Prophecies and EOTN a lot (Prophecies has a better story, but the graphics in some regions in EOTN are terrific, and it brought us the new Asura and Norn races !). For me Factions is definitely last. I do like the Ritualists, but I wasn't too fond of the Factions story, the Kurzick/Luxon alliance thing, Shiro, or the irritating Mhenlo.

[Edit]: PS: JohnnyV, the Prophecies final missions are actually quite easy with the currently popular builds, even with a team of henches and heroes... In fact, I thought taking down Shiro was just as hard the first couple of times I tried it. Once you get the hang of it and the right set of skills, none of the end-game missions are all that tough.

EoTn was my favorite, simply because the managed to tweak out the horrible features of the game that can really **** you off some time. Things like allied NPC's ressurecting after enemies go away, has anyone seriously NOT wanted to punch the screen at some point in their lives after trying to do tannakai temple and/or vizunah square in factions after togo/mhenlo die? On that note, I'm yet to see an ally get stuck on things like chests in EotN where in factions I once had to repeat Vizunah square (HM) FOUR times because togo got stuck EVERY time *shivers*.

That said, EotN was well paced, you could do it in whatever order you please and although there is a lack of elites some nifty skills came about. Definitely my favorite. In order for me: EotN --> factions --> prophecies --> nightfall.

The blaster dwarf in one of the dungeons have got cought a couple of times for me on randomly spawned chests which is slightly annoying.

I voted for prophecies since I feel thatthe pace in that one lead to a wonderful telling of the story. It also makes it rather frustrating to get through a second time since you just want to get somewhere and ti keeps crawling ahead through a story you've already seen

Alos, the story in prophecies has better plot twists than the other ones which are more srtaight forward "go through this mess to get to the end evil boss". Prohpecies has you waiting for the next development in the story as you fight your way along (that is unless you've allready spoiled yourself on the wiki, which I didn't the first time I played it).

Both Factions and Nightfall. They ruined PvP in several ways, but it's mostly cause of new professions. I don't know if any of those ruined PvE though.

    Prophecies.

For me it would have to be Nightfall, simlply due to the fact of Heroes. I love my heroes SOOO much and My friend and I could duo almost anything... EotN was a close second though. I gave all of my heroes and myself /R and got them all White pets. Albino Rat/White Moa/Polar Bear/White Wolf.. With a MM hero just to make my party an insane Army...

Factions/Prohesies tie for third.... Prophesies was too long imo, and although the story was great, it took me a few playthroughs to fully understand the it.. although I was young back then.
