Will this laptop run it?

I did searching for a little, for refurbished or clearance PCs, and it seems that if you bump your budget from $400 to $500 you can get a lot satisfying product. There are a few Intel HD3000s in the low $400s but I don't see many.

If you are buying a laptop just to play the game, and you shoot for the minimum beta specs of a game that may change by launch... you may end up buying a paperweight. Also an expansion may come out and change the specs, unlikely but you never know.

I found this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834131293 but I'd have to look up whether that processor sucks ass, the GFX are semi decent. Check out newegg they have a ton of refurb laptops at decent prices.

I hate to tell people that the budget is a bit too low, but yours seems to be even for refub computers. Ideall you want a dual core 2.0ghz (but hopefully more) with a GFX card that has a little more beef than just a standard HD 3000. Preferable discrete gfx or switchable graphics.

409 isnt bad I can bare to spend a little bit over but not so much that I can't buy the game.

It's a a little over the $400 price tag you've set ($470) but it will game a lot better than the laptop from walmart.


Just don't plan on gaming away from a wall socket, laptops with dedicated graphics cards have shorter battery life and so you'll want to be plugged in when gaming.

This rec is an excellent choice as long as the seller is trustworthy

It doesn't have a video card, its the same situation as the one from walmart where the graphics are built into the same chip as the cpu. Its what's called an APU, APU's have most of their die space dedicated to the cpu and then they have a gpu take up the rest of the die space.

So in the above image that chip is both the central processing unit (CPU) and graphics processing unit (GPU) in one.

That laptop will be able to play on lowest settings but that's probably about it. The one I linked to on ebay for $470 would be a far better option for gaming but it seems you're on a tight budget. If you can wait a while and try to save up another $100 for your budget that would be for the best if you're serious about playing on a laptop because at $500 you can find quite a few laptops with dedicated graphics cards which will do much better at gaming. The reason I'm advising against buying a laptop without a graphics card is because the vast majority of laptops without graphics cards cannot have a graphics card installed in the future. You will be stuck with the integrated graphics and if you want to play with higher details or play more demanding games your only choice will be to buy a new laptop or desktop which will set you back at least a few more hundred dollars.

Hey Burst,

I have this exact Laptop and I run GW2 on low settings all day long. I get roughly 30FPS sometimes higher. I can even put it on full settings to take some screenshots, but can only run at like 10 FPS on that setting.

TLDR; I have the HP Pavilion G7 Laptop and run this game just fine.
