Thread: A lore question

Ah, Ambassador Zain... well, the White Mantle clearly didn't send a very large party, only Ambassador Zain with a few assistants. And be aware that at no part of his visit did he offer any mililary aid. All he did was try to create goodwill among the people, with food and supplies.
My impression always was, that either the White Mantle just wanted to see how their options for a peaceful trade with their neighbors were, or they were worried that the Charr threat would grow (as they already had their hands full dealing with the undead and the Shining Blade, a Charr attack on Kryta was the last thing they could use). By keeping your Ascalonian neighbors strong, you ensure they can hold off the Charr for a while longer...

I'm guessing that why Adelbern /ascalon has so much against kryta is because of the guild wars which happened before the game, the 3rd(?) was just over when the game starts. This was a series of wars in which there were guilds from orr, kryta and ascalon, since devona's father died during one of them.
IF i'm not incredebly stupid noe i think that's what happened.

There was no military help only because Adelbern kept refusing any help from Kryta.

Creating goodwill was Zain's way of trying to get support from people or eventually have Adelbern overthrown so the helping could start. You know, the politics.
