Hi Erik, welcome to these forums. So which one will be your first in GW2?

Hmm ... the hillbillies. Because I have never been in a game where I could play a Norse-themed character, and being Swedish, it's about time. The views from Hoelbrak look great, actually a lot like what Norse/Viking villages looked like in the past.
Now about those humans: legend has it the Norn gathered all the small, weak and cowardly members of their people in one boat, then put that boat on the river and let it flow downstream. The people on the boat somehow survived, probably as a joke by the gods, and they became the Humans.
Scared of the great outdoors the Humans quickly built cities to hide in, and that is where they remain to this day. No wonder they've lost their lands. Time for the Norn to show how it's done.
I think that's one thing all the other races can agree upon; the humans are terrible.
See, this is why I plan for my GW2 character to be on the verge of becoming jaded and cynical, because every other race on Tyra seems to have a bad opinion of his own as a general rule (save maybe the Sylvari, but then again they're the equivalent of Star Trek's Cmdr. Data).
So yeah, say what you want about humanity, but humans WERE the first one to start extending the olive branches. Some may call that weak, I say it proves they're better 'cause they're willing to let go of old grudges and look past physical and cultural differences for the betterment of all.
Which is more than can be said for the narcissistic cave lizards, the barbaric hair ball barfers and the frostbitten meat shields. *insert snarky smirk*

Offering an olive branch to the Sylvari is a mistake; they'll just be mad at you for uprooting their cousin.
(The Charr will use it to season their Asura stew)
I bear no enmity toward any race, but let all take note: to a friend I am true as steel, but Norn do not bow.
