What races would best match up with their professions? I know that race has no effect on this but how would a charr look as a ranger carrying around a little bow and arrow, or an asura as a warrior with a sword taller than they are? I already know i want to be a ranger but i wanted to know what race would best fit . Stuck between norn, sylvari, and human( balthasar dogs)
I think A-Net has already confirmed that the weapons and armor will be grafted to fit the various races. So asuran blades won't look ridiculous on them. And coincidentally that's what I'm playing.
As for Rangers, I think humans are the best fit. Sylvari, while attuned with nature are more a part of it than using it to their advantage. But like dragon said, it's all about preference.
Yeah, I'm most likley going for an Asuran Elementalist (at least among the current professions) because big ego and being able to blow things up at will go well together
Psh, have you seen charr rangers on GW2 demos? They look bad ass :P The only huge mismatch would be, as many people point out, an Asura warrior. There seem to be some evil Sylvari, something about a nightmare court which I read in Edge of Destiny, so Sylvari necros seem to fit. Not to be off topic but I finished the book this morning and I have to say I've never read an ending so unsatisfying as that. Supposed to build up for GW2 I guess but I mean come on, you feel borderline depressed after that sort of anti-climax, lol.
Anyway... Sylvari might make strange warriors as well since they're pretty small/thin themselves. I would have said Sylvari necro but I suppose not after reading Ghosts of Ascalon. Norn seem strange to me as any sort of spellcasters and charr a little strange as necros, but not much (we saw some in gw1 after all). Hard to say before we know all proffesions, but I suspect there will be some weird looking combinations :P
I think, sylvari will look as weird as the female Bloodelves from WoW in plate armor.
Charr and Norn would look weird in cloth armor, just like the tauren in WoW.
