Question Looking for Mature Guild, prefer 18+

Just got out of the whole World of Warcraft phase, mostly since Blizzard has steered away from listening to their customers. I remember playing BETA for Guild Wars a long long time ago want to say around late 2005 or 2006 time frame, but was too focused on WoW and being on deployments to the Middle East. I just pre-purchased GW2 and looking to get in on the Final Beta test coming up on the July 20th weekend (from what I've read). Looking for anyone (guild[s]) that are looking to recruit a dedicated MMO gamer. I prefer PvE but I do dabble in PvP from time to time, but PvE always comes first (it's the storyline of most games that get me, you know). So for sure send me a message or reply to the thread. Also just a little side note, what is the name of the main Sylvari protaganist in the "Guild Wars: Ghosts of Ascalon"?

The sinister swarm is a multi gaming community, we are always looking for new people to join our family for years and games to come! We have been around for 12+ years and have a very strong history in pvp and pve. We have many active chapters in many games, with the sinister swarm you make friends that last for years that you can play with year after year, game after game. We have many members in the 20-30ish, and many members with little ones so we keep our vent pg13, as well as the drama next to none. Ill sent you a bit more info in a pm!

    You mean Kileen, the necromancer?

And good luck finding a suitable guild!

YES, I love Kileen, the Sylvari race in general. It's refreshing to think someone made a race that is that honest, yet so inquisitive, I love it.

Okay let me update this a little more clearly:

I am 27 years old but sometimes act like I am 7, meaning I enjoy my gameplay to the point of sometimes going a little overboard. I am a U.S. Military Veteran who does cuss, not a lot but enough to get attention. I prefer a nice tight group nothing large, anything more than 50+ is extremely hard to manage and after so many officers to help control it usually ends up a mess. I prefer to rank up and play classes my way not some cookie cutter build. I like to crack jokes some of them a little mature even for the raunchiest of people, I won't do so until requested. I like having a set time to do dungeons, a time organized group would be phenomenally awesome. I love playing with other players from around the world, improvised tactics and multiple ideas about attacking the same boss. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE helping new people, not all the time, because lets face it sometimes I just want some alone time to kill the little pest monsters around Tyria. I like playing RP, but I know a lot of other people don't so I won't get to crazy with it.

I understand that you have a life outside of the game, but don't bring it in everyday unless you really and truly need help, then it's okay to get some advice from guildies, just not during a time event, I prefer the least amount of drama as possible.

I cannot stand Elitist's, the one who think that the "cookie cutter builds" are the best in the game, the game is meant to be a personal preference skill set. I truly hate, I mean hate when teenagers, early twenties and some full grown adults like to treat "newbies" like crap just to push them out of the game. PUG or not do not and cannot stand bashing on people who are trying to learn, instead of telling them they suck, how about instead tell or show them or walk them through how they can use their toons.

I like the Ranger Class, I am a support class in almost al RPG's or MMO's, I love striking from a distance and keeping an eye out for "adds". I would lover to be an officer but I want to prove to you that I will be exceptional within my class.

With this now said, I would like true honest guild invites who are looking for a player like myself, again I mostly prefer PvE (Player vs Environment [dungeons and storyline]). I do not PvP that much though when I do I prefer to do it with guildies or close friends. Please be sure to read my ENTIRE post before sending me invites just so you can grow your numbers and say you're the largest guild, because I will mostly ignore it or I will be polite and say I'm not interested, depends on how you represent your guild I guess. Thank you for your time and Patience.

If you reply to this tell me the name of the Asura whom Dougal was hired to tomb raid in "Guild Wars: Ghosts of Ascalon".

I belive the asura was named Clagg. All the stuff you described really make me think you would like Sinister Swarm.

Close, not the one that hired Dougal, the one to which tomb they were raiding.

Good luck in the search. Think you're thinking of Killeen from that novel, too.

Great introduction mate! I would be keenly interested in talking to you more via PMs or on my guild site...

Regadless of your path and guild choice I wish ya well!

There are many fine guilds in our community here and one should always take their time in choosing a guild as after the loots been plundered, the levels maxed and the maps uncovered what do we have left? The people you play with on a daily basis! And in the end, these game are only as fun as those you surround yourself with!

That said, Vanquish at a glance:

    • Built from the ground up for Guild Wars 2
    • Emphasis on quality over quantity and doing more with less
    • RP encouraged but not enforced
    • Caters to an "older crowd (age 18 req with our average age being 40 and up)
    • Casually Hardcore! We are comprised of adults with jobs, kids, grand kids, bills and LIFE... we recognize how valuable your time in game is and even if it is limited we will help one another get the most out of it!
    • End game and PvX will undoubtedly be a focus of ours but we enjoy and greatly appreciate the road and adventure leading to such, you will not be pressured to play in any way that is not conclusive to your own fun

So should you feel Vanquish might be the guild for you please stop by and visit us at www.vanquishtoday.guildportal.com and thank you!
