Favourite profession so far (post guardian release)

I'm liking the look of everything except the necromancer.
To me it was just a little lack-luster. Not bad abilities or mechanics, but just did have that spark.
Warrior, Ranger, and Elementalist however..... these look awesome. At first I wasn't a fan of the ranger, and tbh ele wasn't high up there either, but they have really grown on me. They each do decent dmg in a variety of ways for a variety of effects and that range of possible playstyles (both voluntary, and as the encounter (implicitly)dictates) that really appeals to me.

The guardian; well we haven't really seen more than his skill videos. It looks like he has the same yet different feel as the warrior, much like warriors and dks did in WoW. The skill sets and playstyles will be completely different from one another, just like the dks and warriors were, but still bashing things in their own way. Guardian definately gets the thumbs up (and who wouldn't want to do the classic reflect-kill in world v world??)

I'm interested in what profs you guys like the look of and why.

My favorite is and always will be the Necromancer. I played one in the original guild wars and was quite good as one. even after they do release more classes they won't compare to the Necromancer in my eyes. I think they look awesome in Guild Wars 2 and it will be an awesome class to play as. I don't know what you mean by not having that spark. I mean sure they are not as bright and flashy as the other classes but that is because they are Necromancers they are supposed to be dark and grey.

By spark I meant that lil something. Something that makes it click for me.
It looks like an awesome class, with an awesome design, but it just doesn't feel like me.

    I'm going as a Necromancer : D
    Mechanics wise:
I never really like to go for direct damage. I like to "toy" with my prey. That's my playstyle anyway and the necro seems to be it. xD

    Character wise:
I prefer characters that lean towards the darker edge.
Ironically I'll be the sort of necromancer (and asura) that tries to keep things alive.

I'll be the sort of Asuran Necromancer that likes to experiment on living things. I'm going to go for the mad scientist type.

And I'll keep them alive long enough for you to keep experimenting on them.

I'm not sure which class I should go so far. But I know that ele won't be it.

Sofar the only really interesting ones are Elementalist and Guardian. Will have to see what they come up with for the next 3 but at the moment definitely chosing between those two. I've always been an ele (or similar class) in all RPG games I've ever played so why stop now (except the Guardina looks really cool)

I find rangers interesting. I've always hated playing rangers in guildwars, and hated playing against them (only when the other player is good, though). But with customizable pet bars and the ability to run in with axes as well as bows, they seem to have finally earnt the 'Jack of All Trades' title, never understood why they were called that in GW1 since the only two things they specialised in was condition spam and interrupts.

I'll probably start of as an elementalist. Perhaps followed by a necro or guardian, then ranger (who would have otherwise been last :P).

Note: I don't mean to jive on anyone, its just what i think.

TBH IMO Necro looks like it took the blunt end of a nurf bat.......but hey its Arena net right so I have high hopes...
    again...
TBH IMO Ranger looks like it won't be as awesome as it could be.....but hey its Arena net .....etc.

TBH IMO Guardian could go either way.
Ele is already shaping up to be a badass.
    Warrior looks great too.

Now think about stats..........I has to raise SWORD + HEALTH + CRIT RATE + BOW..........As a warrior, screw bow and maybe even crit rate can rely on equip. I WILL need high hp and good weapon damage.

Ranger again........has to raise STR and AGI sword and bow.......and health and DEFINATELY crit rate.......NURF BAT BE BROX in teh a$$.

Ele HP, MAGIC -----------END this is gonna be a dangerous.

    Necro ....same

    Guardian :S

I forsee there's going to be a LOT of respecing, and if this game will be like a free WoW..........ZZzzz.

I don't want to play Ele because that seems like a cop out class (for me), I prefer to play Warrior or Ranger. I will probably play Warrior and get my friend to play Ele which will be the OP class, if this game goes the road I think.....TBH IMO, there won't REALLY be an OP class.......but there will :/ I dunno, lets just say the game wont feel RIGHT, you know :/

please tell me what y'all think.
