    Your Must-Own Blu-Rays

Now that they've started hitting reasonable price points I've started a respectable collection. Of the ones I have the ones that I could not do without are:

    300
    Iron Man
    Rambo
    Incredible Hulk
    Pan's Labyrinth
    Apocalypto
    Watchmen

In terms of audio quality, picture quality and overall movie watchability, what are your must-own blu-rays?

My list is pretty small because my collection is pitiful compare to my game collection but the must haves are
    Ironman
    300
    Avatar
    Transformers 1 and 2
    Zombie land

Having the projector really helps get the movie theater feel to it so they are just that much better
Although right now I'm waiting on a replacement bulb so I'm doing everything on a 32inch lcd.

The Dark Knight is likely the BEST BD ever produced, and is thus a musst own.
The first BD I ever bought, however, was Kingdom of Heaven, which is also my favorite film.

Along with these two, must own BDs I would suggest are as follows:

The Last Samurai - the brilliant cinematography is ampliphied to awe inspired visual gravitas on BD.
Watchmen - absolutely amazing, Zack Snyder's visual masterpiece must be seen on BD to truly be appreciated.
Fight Club - the iconic ending of this film is truly jaw dropping on BD.
Taken - the high octain action must be witnessed on BD.
Saving Private Ryan - you will feel the impact of this film even more greatly on BD... I was truly blown away.
The Postman - the final challenge of the laws of 8 was amazing to watch on BD.
Pearl Harbor - theattack itself was so visually stunning in HD that this must be seen on BD to be believed.
Swordfish - the explosion at teh beginning was enough to make me buy the BD of a film I had never previously owned.
Braveheart - while a little grainy in some spots, this movie should go without saying.
Red Cliff - John Woo's most brilliant film/s shouldn't be sullied by a viewing in any other format.
Highlander - OMFG... this was amazing... so old it benifits in that HOLY CRAP sorta way... YOU CAN SEE THE WIRES HOLDING HIM UP DURING THE FINA QUICKENING SO CLEARLY! Its awesome!

And yeah... there are many others... I could sing the praises of every BD in my collection, as I've only ever been disappointed by one, and its wasn't becasue of the visuals, it was because there is no reason to split a movie across two discs on a format such as BD (yes, Alexander Revistied, I look at you! You bother me!). I literally own well over 70 BDs, and I love each and every one of them.

    Blu-Ray is Blu-Awesome! lol

Yeah I had to kind of limit myself too otherwise I'd find myself listing off the entire collection. Of the ones you mentioned Taken and Dark Knight definitely needs commented on for me. At first, I did'nt know if I was going to like the changing aspect ratios in TDK, but after awhile I didn't even notice and just enjoyed the spectacle.

I'm just going to have to add Beowulf and Final Fantasy Advent Children. I love those even more than any Pixar flick. That's sayin' a lot.

    C'mon...nobody mentioned Wall-E???!

UP is also totally worth the price, but it's one "kid's movie" I'm not ashamed to say chokes me up every time, so it's harder to watch in that sense.

I don't even consider UP a kids movie. Sure there's talking dogs, but most of what made that movie good probably went right over kids' heads.
