Besides the great ones already mentioned I would like to add 30 Days of Night and the Matrix. And what about Star Trek?
Star Trek for sure. It probably has some of the best special features ever put on a blu-ray as well. I think I might have spent more time watching the special features than I did the movie.
Star trek Over all was good but watching it in blu-ray and having a Big sounds System it would be God like.

Missed this thread. I don't think there's anything worth having on blu-ray, if nothing else than to don'thave to see that name spelling so much, horrible. But then I'm the sort of person that generally can't see the difference, and can't hear the difference between 192kbit and 320kbit mp3s
That said I have a few but mainly because they were a) cheap and b) had a lot of more extra materials on them than the normal DVDs which is basically the only reason to buy a DVD instead of just downloading the movie and burning your own.
I didn't think Blu-ray was worth the investment either, until I was recently forced to buy a brand new tv (as the old one quit his job and went into retirement). We decided to upgrade from our previous 32" to a 40", and we were fortunate to get a special deal that included a free blu-ray player. So we bought a couple of blu-rays to go along with it, and after watching several movies on dvd and on blu-ray to make a fair comparison, all I can say is, blu-ray is definitely a step up in quality. Recent movies like Alice in Wonderland and Avatar, but also a bit older movies like the Lord of the Rings series, are a real joy to watch on blu-ray.
For me, Blu-Ray is all about audio quality not video quality. Honestly, the video can up convert to the point that you're still getting stellar video quality. But the crispness, and quality of sound is unmatched when watching it on blu-ray
