About Us:

The Battousai is a guild built fundamentally on the core virtues of respect, integrity, loyalty and honor. Over the years, the guild has developed through the collective knowledge, experience, skill and trust of our members. We strive for excellence in all aspects of our lives, and inspire those around us to achieve success. The diversity of our members is vital to the success of the guild, as shared experience and wisdom is essential to our growth. As such, we encourage the development and growth of our members as individuals and as a collective unit. Our passion for success drives us to be the best possible, failure simply is not an option. Yet, we understand that we must work together to achieve such, as the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. Our History:

“The Battousai” was created on February 21st, 2006, when two members decided to build a family oriented community after the collapse of their former Guild Wars guild, the “Knights of the Hokuten”. Vincent Von Demetri and Entropic, The Battousai founders, would adopt the philosophy established by their former guild, focused on creating an environment that would foster the growth and development of players. Originally, the guild would only be open to close friends and family members as it initially was established, but would eventually implement an open recruitment policy. Over the next few years the guild would continue to flourish, growing in size and developing a leadership system and code of conduct. The Battousai were on the rise and growing rapidly.

However, this rapid growth of the guild caused the community to move away from its original family oriented model, causing disconnection between members and the goals of the guild. Eventually, many of the members would become inactive, leaving the guild. This reduction in membership moved the guild into a more sustainable period, where the remaining members formed close friendships, working together closely to accomplish both simple tasks and monumental feats. The core principles on which The Battousai was originally founded would define the code of conduct for the future, effectively eliminating eligibility requirements and returning to a time of simplicity. Ultimately, this would shape the entire future and direction of The Battousai.

Nowadays, the guild continues to grow while both learning from and celebrating our past. Although the guild culture has changed vastly over the past years, the core principles of respect, integrity, loyalty and honor remain fundamental to the structure of the guild. We continue to grow both as individuals and as a collective unit, learning from our mistakes and celebrating our successes. The end is never the end. A new challenge awaits. For the Battousai, we return with a renewed strength and a stronger vision than ever before. This is our journey.
