    Satellite internet

Does anyone know if Gw2 would be playable on nsatellite internet? i realized sevral players were able to play it on GW1 but with the requirements being harder i was wondering wheher or not satellite internet could handle it?

If it uses the same protocols as the first Guild Wars then I don't see why not. Then again it probably depends a lot on what service you have. I know verizon is actually pretty decent but expensive. I have a few friends who still play on DSL and they get some lag but it's still playable. They really haven't released much info on the technical aspects of it as I think that's done towards the finish line. As long as you're in the DSL range or higher I think you'll be fine.

Most online games require minimal bandwidth (when compared to video streaming or file downloads), it's your latency ("ping" time) that's usually what you want to worry about. Since you live in the US, you should be fine to play GW2 on a satellite connection.
