Our focus: Contra is a brand new guild based on Black Gate, an US server. While taking a more casual approach, our primary focuses are on community and WvW. Some guilds prefer to be strict and even intimidating, but we attempt to dominate the WvW battlegrounds while maintaining a positive reputation. We'll also dabble in PvE, though on a lesser level.

Our history: After experiencing several beta weekends, a group of IRL friends realized their focus in the game would be on WvW, and decided to create a guild where members of the same interest could function as a dominating force on the Battlegrounds. While focusing on WvW, the need for a strong feeling of community was realized. Therefore these two things became the founding principles of our guild.

Expectations of members:
-Maintaining a respectful attitude toward fellow members, including a willingness to help when reasonable
-Participation in planned guild activities when available
-Representing Contra in a positive manner throughout the server and beyond

Recruitment:
As of now the positions of guild leader and high council are filled, and we're recruiting members.
