    Guild Wars: 6th Anniversary Update

    The 6th anniversary celebration has started, and during the weekend you can join the usual games (from NPCs in Lion's Arch, Shing Jea Monastery, Kamadan, and the Great Temple of Balthazar). Also, characters that turn 6 will receive a new birthday present... but instead of minis, it's everlasting tonics this year.

    And if that weren't enough, there is a big 6th anniversary update online now. In addition to the new tonics, it contains:

    * Flux effect (a new instability effect in pvp)
    * Mutual Friends List Locations
    * The hero Razah now has the option to change primary professions
    * Hard Mode Quest: The Villainy of Galrath
    * High-Resolution Textures in Town
    * Festival Hats and Costume Maker in Pre-Searing

    Check out the details of the update here.

    Just a reminder... this week on offer in the Guild Wars in-game store: the Eye of the North expansion.
    If you're still playing GW1 and don't have this expansion yet, this could be your chance to start building your own Hall of Monuments...

    I'm still waiting for that character slot sale next week - I thought 10 was enough last year, but merc heroes make me want more :P

    Very good time for people to grab EotN/GWEN and start working towards those awesome GW2 rewards. I've already convinced one friend to start - "~1300 unique skills" is a pretty damn good selling point .
