My AMD Radeon integrated graphics is enough to play ALL available games out at the moment. I play Battle Field 3 with ease.

So you guys think I should be okay? I just don't wanna spend money on something I can't play ya know?

Nice mid-level video card there
Can you add video cards to a laptop though?
Useful discussion. learned.
It's an I3 laptop with integraded graphics - at best it's going to stutter with only 256meg of ram. Most laptop cards are not upgradable and to be honest - GW2 does need a bit more grunt than BF3 to run especially in world events. If you don't want to be looking at a slideshow you need to turn everything to minimum for it to even stand a chance of running on a regular laptop and not visit any towns or anything with a crowd of other players.
After watching the start of the karka event in slideshow I stuck my graphics down to performance rather than quality mode and at least was able to take part in the combat. After that was over, I removed my old ATI 1 GB 7770 card and stuck in a nice 3GB 7970. I still can't take part in liberating the temple without turning down some of the options tho.
Now there were some laptops with graphics that you can upgrade but they are few and far between. Long and the short of this is that GW2 does need a fair amount of grunt to run so be aware of your systems limitations.
Okay guys, this conversation hasn't had anything posted into it since August, until today. Can we stop necroing old threads. Presumably whoever started this thread got what they needed from it a long time ago.
