So has anyone tried out the new content yet? I'm aming to try some this evening and tomorrow when my wife is at work and I'm not

I haven't had a chance yet either! It'll probably still be a bit for me, probably not till my next day off (which is next Thursday I think). I'm excited, though. I loved the other stuff they did starting with Gwen and Kieran and the whole Shining Blade. Getting the weapons was just a bonus for me.

I remember my friend and I being disappointed with ourselves during the Battle for Lion's Arch bit because we wiped at the end and we felt like we were better than that. ...then we realized we were on HM, and didn't feel so bad xD;

Dabbled in it somewhat so far, it seems pretty good. The afflicted seem easier to me if anything (I'm using some OP builds though) - AFFLICTED MONKS DON'T USE ROJ ANYMORE I saw one use Shield of Regen for his elite. The costume that the quest giving NPC has looks amazing, I'll definitely be buying that at some point.

I've only started it, but the quests do feel repetitive, the first 3 quests are kill group x in area y (perhaps more, I'm calling it a night at the third). Unless something dramaticly changes, this is definitely a big step down from the War in Kryta difficulty wise, whether that is good or bad I think depends on who's playing (;

Edit: Difficulty increases at the third quest, most of my allies died but no party deaths. Still not WiK-difficult but I think Anet hit the spot here. Some Afflicted monks do use ROJ, just to correct what I said. But not all

My little rag-tag band of me (fire ele, out of practice due to lots of tripple-necroing for a while) and 7 heroes wiped a few times but mainly because I fail at pulling I think

The problem with a lot of the War in Kryta stuff was that you were often stuck with craptastic henchmen if you solo'd things like the HM bounties. Now that we can take a full hero party I imagine even War in Kryta would be so much easier. (I haven't gone back since I got my last oppressor weapon for the HoM, lol).

Is anybody going to buy the costumes? Apparently they're only around until Aug. 8. I'm kinda tempted by the white ones. :B

That's a good point actually, I don't think I've tried WiK with a full hero party. But WiK mobs had an insane amount of ressurection, which always automaticaly makes mobs so much more difficult, it's very annoying to squeeze Frozen Soil into a build since Beast Mastery is such an underpowered attribute (then again, I hate playing Rangers in general, lol).

I think I'll buy the costume pack, they look really nice. Especially the white ones, I agree :P I'm interested to see what Anet are going to do with the Ministry of Purity storyline, that twist at the very end of the content suddenly made it very interesting. It's too bad most of those ~17 quests were just building up a sort of prologue to the real story (thus, not so interesting) but now I can't wait for the next parts.

Yeah, I usually just brought Frozen Soil on my ele, because none of the heroes use it intelligently and you have to micro them anyways. Was just less hassle to bring it myself xD

Made me sad though because I couldn't use my super cheesy, Assassin's Promise nuker + PvE-only skills nonsense.

AND TWIST YOU SAY. Hmm. Now I'm very excited to play out this storyline. No spoilers!
