Hi Oxtrom, welcome to these forums. No, that's definitely not true. To quote lead designer Eric Flannum:
The 8th profession has not been revealed yet, but all the hints that they have given point to it being a reworked version of the Mesmer profession that already existed in the original Guild Wars.The commando is really nothing more than an April Fool’s joke and has no hidden or deeper meaning.
I hope its gonna roll like a BOSS.

Hi Kisakaryn, welcome to these forums. Yes, that's correct. They have also stated that the final profession will be revealed before the end of the year. See also the unrevealed professions thread for more discussion on this topic.
In response to the OP, there is almost no way that the 8th isn't a Mesmer.
AN has practically told us its a Mesmer in every wink/nudge way possible save outright saying it officially.
