The Tyrian Enquirer has officially released its first issue! We cover the news you need to know, now.
In these times of chaos and uncertainty, never has there been a greater need for the public to remain informed. The Tyrian Enquirer is looking to fill the information void and provide you, gentle readers, with truthful, reliable coverage you'll come to count on.
Right now the Enquirer has a limited staff and is looking to expand. If you think you might be interested in contributing, Editor/Publisher Jubilee Cross will be happy to schedule an interview with you.
The Tyrian Enquirer
****
As should be fairly obvious, the Enquirer is an entirely in-character newspaper for the world of Guild Wars 2. It's meant, first and foremost, to be entertaining and tongue-in-cheek, and something fun for me to do in my somewhat sketchy downtime. It's not necessarily meant to be accurate, unbiased, or anything else a newspaper should actually be.
Until launch, I'll be updating from time to time with stories that exist solely in my imagination. After launch, though, I do intend to cover "real" in-game events, conduct interviews, and especially, maintain a community calendar for roleplay events. I'd love for this to be a resource, aside from a diversion for me.
Anyway. I am serious about accepting submissions, so if my brand of humor suits you, please, do contact me. Articles, columns, letters to the editor...as long as it's in-character (and you can handle being edited like a real reporter xD ), I'll be delighted to receive it.
If anyone knows how to get rid of the "related posts" bit, I'd be grateful for some instruction. I'm not all that blogger savvy.
ABOUT SUBMISSIONS:
I've gotten a far, far greater response to this than I ever dreamed I would. With that in mind, if you guys could do a couple of things for me from now on, that would be awesome.
a) I prefer if you email rather than PM (tyrianenquirer (at) gmail (dot) com). I've posted this in a couple of places, and it's much easier for me to check one email rather than multiple forum PMs. (If you had already PMed me something, don't worry, I still have it!)
b) Since this is in-character, I need to know what character name you're writing as. I can always link your pseudonym to a personal site, forum profile, or whatever to give the real you some credit. I can also maybe include a "mugshot" if you can provide a screenie or bit of artwork for me to crop.
And I think that about covers it!![]()
