No thanks... I think I'll wait for the Path of Exile closed beta to start (August 10).
I hate to be a buzz kill but I have bad feelings about Diablo 3. The main reason I'm saying this is because Bliz decided to add a second auction house into the game... That uses REAL money. I've always thought item shops that give you power were game breaking, but this is a new low. Not only that, but I hear Bliz manages to charge you 3 times as a sort of "tax" for using the service every time you buy an item. Something along the lines of a fee for putting an item up for offer, item tax, etc. For a company of the calibre and reputation of Blizzard this is just disgraceful.
I'm sorry to anyone looking forward to D3, but I just can't see any excuses for a money grab like this, especially when it ruins much of the game. I can't imagine Blizzard need money so desperately, either, with WoW and SC2.
Edit: Had a look at the game you linked Centaur, looks interesting. One funny thing I noticed in the FAQ though: "but we anticipate entering public closed beta". Now, maybe I'm missing something here but would a -public- closed beta not be more like an.... Open beta? Anyway, another Diablo style game I'm hearing of a bit is "Grim Dawn", which will be a "spiritual sequel" to Titan Quest.

"public" closed beta for Path of Exile means that for several weeks they plan to allow approx. 100 people (forum members) a week into closed beta... so they're slowly increasing the number of people in closed beta, while in the meantime they keep adding more content to the game, and finishing several as yet unfinished parts. Full open beta will be a few months later, once they have finished the content.
Yeah that sucks but I'm looking forward to the game like I would a offline title. Maybe something to play casually with friends like Marvel Ultimate Alliance. I don't see my self marrying myself to the game like some MMOs so something like a cash shop wouldn't break the experience for me.
I've never been that interested in Diablo. The only hack-and-slash game I really got into was Dungeon Siege which I really like. It's a shame that my computer is so old* now that it can't play DS:III
*How old you ask? Well, I got it ~7 years ago, and back then it was awesome and I actually think this is the first time since then I've ran into a game that it can't handle.
Feeling tired? There's a nap for that.
I'm definately feeling all the same sentiments you guys are, however I am a fan of ARPGs.
Whether diablo is 'diablo' enough, or its a brand new game, I'll give it a chance.
I think there'll be plenty of outcry, and it will still be hugely popular (or fade into obscurity and noone will ever talk about it, like Starcraft 2).
Why people are hating on a free chance to play a game in advance I dunno. Unless it was a wow expansion, those are buggy as all hell (its more find-the-unbugged-part, rather than find-the-bugs).
