We the members of the Order of Lords pride ourselves on the pursuit of optimal play and sharing our knowledge with the community. One does not simply become the best through the desire to be known as a great player. A desire to pursue perfection and positively impact others will always be more motivational. Experts do not focus on whether they win or lose specific matchs. They treat both victory and defeat as pieces of evidence to use in refining their strategies and tactical decisions. Their attention is committed to the mastery of game mechanics, team cohesion, and execution. Their approach is rational and reflective, not emotional and impulsive.

We will focus on top-level sPvP and WvW, as well as the creation of high-quality videos, strategy guides, and other game-related content. Our members will be adept at the multiple facets of PvP in Guild Wars 2, skilled players on the whole, willing and capable of further improvement, and cognizant of the value of both solo play and teamwork within the virtual world and real life. We aren't simply looking for great players, we are looking for great people.

We believe that any determined player with the proper mindset can become highly skilled, so the specifics of your prior gaming experience are not our main concern. Rather, we wish to create and sustain the right culture, as it is essential for the continued success of any group. We insist upon an atmosphere of calm, respectful inquiry in which strong arguments, not strong personalities, predominate. Make no mistake, it is our intention to compete at the highest level, and we have no desire to be distracted by the need to deal with immaturity and poor social skills.

Following that we will contact you for a short Skype interview.



Founders

Golradaer was the chief strategist and commander of a highly-rated guild in Guild Wars, circa 2005. He was also the #1 rated player in Company of Heroes during the 2007 season. He has extensive experience in MMOs—including Planetside, Everquest 2, and World of Warcraft—and he has been similarly dedicated to RTS games from Battle of Middle Earth to Starcraft 2. Most recently, he has been playing Dota 2 and Total War Shogun 2. Golradaer recently graduated from university with a degree in European history, and he has pursued graduate studies in cognitive psychology.

Sunangel has dedicated himself to competitive play across solo and team games for many years. From leading raids across multiple expansions in World of Warcraft to participating in a number of tournaments and clan matches for a semi-professional team in Starcraft 2, he believes in constant improvement and the endless optimization of strategies - a player can never truly be a master of a game, as there is always room for learning and knowledge. His experience includes spending numerous hours within both PvP and PvE across MMOs (TERA, Aion, Rift, Everquest 2, World of Warcraft), a deep background in RTS games from Age of Empires to Starcraft 2, and the typical weekly dose of inventive indie games. Sunangel is currently studying computer science at university and aspires to design innovative computer games.

We've been playing in tournaments and getting a few first-place finishes. All classes welcome!
