Thread: Error 3002 email not found

    Throwing my lot in here. With not even 2-3 minutes between registering my serial and creating an account, I went to log in to the launcher and received exactly the same error message (I don't have a gw1 account nor did i attempt to link to one).This was 24 hours ago. Oddly I received no registration confirmation email, so it may be a case of mistaken email input (however I'm always pretty careful about that and was in this instance too). I also don't see support getting back to me anytime soon...pretty weak to say the least.

    got the same problem, error code + mail this morning. Also posted this on a dutch forum (I'm Belgian) and none of them had this problem so couldn't help me either.
    Hope ANet will solve this quick because this is very very very frustrating!

    To everyone who receives that email: it appears that there are people out there who are systematically trying to hack GW2 accounts. If you receive such an email, then I highly recommend that you immediately change your GW2 email address on your account (preferably use an address that you have never used on other games or on any online forum or site!) and your password (to a safe one).

    If you do get hit with the error code, then you may already be too late... in that case, your only option may be to contact Support and report this as a possible account hacking situation. But be aware that it will currently take Support several days to respond, as they are flooded with support tickets.

    I can't change anything, if I can't login, how can I change? my cdkey is recorded, but my email does not exist anymore. I can only log on GW2support where I made a ticket. without any response.

    Yes, sorry about that... that warning was intended for the people who get the email but don't get the error 3002 yet. If you get the error 3002, then you're already too late, and you will have to wait until Support is able to process your case. Unfortunately, with their current load, that does indeed take days...

    the problem , when I was playing, I received email "thank you for having changed email ,Someone -hopefully you!- has requested to change the email address associated with your Guild Wars account." I can not understand how they did it. I have not received any confirmation email. only this email .i was login normally , the next day I could not login, I go to email and i see this email .time checking email, I see that at the time I play .sorry for my english try to understand. thanks

    Happened to me suddenly when i logged out and took a 30min break.
    i sent a support ticket and tweeted them but no respond.

    Right now I just feel out $60 with no help at all available. Tried support, twitter, facebook - no response anywhere and game that I can't even launch. Big let down and I'm quickly growing to hate this game and may soon call the credit card company to get my money back. Very Frustrated.
    I share the same frustration, I never played GW before, all my friends bought it and recomanded me to buy it too.
    I pre-purchased a digital version from the original site, once I've finished my registration I got an email to the same email I use, they gave me an order number, a serial, everything seemed just fine.
    when I tried to enter the game, same thing like evryone here - error 3002:1008:1:462, so sad I remember the entire error number without looking :S

    I sent a ticket to the support, after 3 days of waiting!!!! I recieved a respond says - we're sorry that it's not the ideal solution but here's the FAQ, read it again and try manage on your own, I said ok, they are floaded, it happens, I'll just update the ticket and explain them it's not something I can fix - so I did.

    after waiting another day I recieved a quick answer - up untill now you had an error 9 - that means u couldn't play the pre-ordered game, now the game is up, so enjoy, guess what..... its not error 9... the support just ignored what I wrote, and i'm quoting my ticket before this answer:
    "I've already read all of the error numbers, and all the scenarios, I need a tech support cause something in my account isn't working and i'm waiting a few days to play a game i've already purchased.
    please respond to my thread you are the only one who can fix it.
    error number 3002:1008:1:462."

    after another update today morning I recieved another respond, I thought I'll finally get to play the game but.... guess not, they just asked me for my cdkey, and now god knows what will be next, the only reason i'm not asking for a refund from the credit card is cause this things take time, and i realy hoped that untill now i'd get to play, but i'm so disappointed, GW2 is a failure for me.

    Same here, Mosh28... PLEASE let us know if they fixed this for you after you sent them your CD Key!
