lol.... no, hadn't seen that one before. Then again, there are so many GW videos posted on youtube, that it's almost impossible to watch them all. Nice job tracking this one down!
Lol, one of the related videos shows asura character creation.
You can have an affro!
LOL! I love the rolling on the ground emote. Emotes are so fun, I wish I knew if there were /dance emotes and what they look like.
ArenaNet have confirmed that there will be new dance emotes. No idea what they will look like, though...
Sorry, can't promise that much... they haven't revealed that much detail yet. Not sure if it will be by race or by profession or if they actually came up with 40 different combinations to cover all race-profession combos. But I'm sure the final versions of the dance emotes will be much more intricate than the current implementation in the demo (swaying back and forth).
I think the best thing Anet could do is make one for every race/armor-type/gender combination. One for every proffession/race/gender would get pretty insane since that's 8*5*2 = 80 unique dances.
If it's changed to armor type instead of profession it would go to 3*5*2 = 30 unique dances. It's still alot, but considering how much effort is being put into GW2 it could be about right. The original GuildWars ended up having 10 * 2 = 20 dances, and it definetly wasn't made with the same perfectionist mentality we're seeing for GW2.
The bad thing about doing it that way though, is that they couldn't get a profession-specific theme going for each profesion (Warriors had a somewhat badass theme, Necros had a bit of an eerie one, and female elementalists had a somewhat... skimpy one).
I don't think they could copy dances between races since they all look so different (especially Charr and Asura) and it would be strange if both males and females danced the same (imagine a female doing the male warrior dance, or a male doing the mesmer/elementalist dance). So that means they're already looking at making a factor of 5*2 = 10 dances. One things for sure, it's a lot more work than it seems at face value.
