Every time I see this it makes me smile, not the "wow killer part" but the "success" part. I could care less if this game kills WoW (that game has been dead to me for years anyway lol), but I do agree and celebrate that this game is definitely a success. I've been playing MMOs for 9 years (and console games much longer) and have never had so much fun playing a video game before. I hope that it continues to bring me delight over the next coming months (and even years). From where I stand, I don't think that's going to be a problem for this game. heheh I can see myself enjoying this game for a very long time.

I would have to agree.
I have tried at least 30 different MMOs and only the following held my attention for longer than a month:
FFXI, EQ2, WoW, CoH, GW, LotRO.
Everything else including the ones I had high hopes for like Aion, SWG, SWTOR and Diablo3 didn't last 2 weeks for me.
Then there was the disaster that was FFXIV. It has the distinction of being the only game that I couldn't play for more than one hour.

However, I can already see that GW2 will keep me interested for months just like GW. Nice work!

I also feel inclined to agree. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, but I most recently came from FFXIV and when comparing the level of negativity that surrounded that game's launch to Guild Wars 2 the difference is rather astonishing. Popularity aside it's very clear that the vast majority of players are pleased with how this game has turned out.

Back on topic...for me this game is pure win...even with the bugs. Imagine how much fun it will be when the bugs are fixed. lol

I doubt most of us are GW2 fanboys, we just like the game, and if you bring us a valid reason why it isn't I will respect that.
If you do it the way some people do by flaming it, I'm going Chuck Norris on you, it's that simple.
And that goes with all games.

People for example like to defend WoW, but seriously to me that game is flawed beyond anything.
It's extremely fun leveling your character but once you hit 80 it's mindless grinding, and if you want to do raids, you better be really good + have a shitload of time or the endgame is nothing for you.
That in my opinion is just flawed, it only speaks to people who play it nonstop.

GW2 is more casual, more fun, has an actual storyline (hence the MMORPG).

I played a ton of MMOs in my years, and I always try to be objective, just don't come at me flaming because of useless reasons, that's all .
