(AU/US) Malediction is recruiting for sPvP, PvE and WvW (Read if you've been banned!)

Hello, my name is Matthew, I'm 18 years old, and I am starting a guild called "Malediction".

The server is yet to be determined—I am looking for a server with a good population during both Oceanic and US timezones.

The guild will be participating together in PvE and WvW as we please— and will also be trying to organise a few competitive (and a few more casual) sPvP teams.

Malediction is a guild that allows free speech and "politically incorrect" humour.

I aim to create a fun, happy environment where we can escape the "Nanny state" which is the ArenaNet public chat.

The rules are as follows:

•Swearing, inappropriate jokes (which you could be suspended for in public chat) and good natured dissing will all be allowed in guild chat.
•No one is allowed to report anyone for "hate speech" or any other reason in guild chat (barring a real life threat), and everyone, before being recruited, will be briefed with these rules.
•No persistant personal attacks, or any real life threats. While we highly value free speech, continued harassment is unacceptable. Anything resembling a real life threat is completely disallowed and you may be kicked from the guild/reported depending on the severity of the offense.
•If someone has a problem, they talk to a guild leader and THEY will deal with it— Probobly with a warning, something that ArenaNet don't seem to believe in.

Here's an example of what IS ok, and what is not. In Guild chat:

"Never hesitate to put a (n word) on his back!!!!"

"Sounds gay." or "That's gay"
(Yes, ArenaNet are actually this concerned about "homophobia".)

"ALAH AKBAH!"

"* off."


Keep in mind, if enough people start spamming caps in guild chat, we may have to start muting people.

This is what is not accepted:

Ronald: "Hey Jimmy ya black *, stick to shining shoes like a good (n word)!"

Jimmy: "Ronald please stop that, half my family is black =("

Ronald: "AHAHA Ya piece of (s word)! Go back to africa and get ur dirty ass out of america!"


Or something like:

Harry: "John seriously no one likes you, just leave already"

John: "=("

Malediction will have a simple website with a news bulletin and a forum.

Recruitment will start in approximately 48 hours, as I am still suspended for "Inappropriate behaviour"


So, anyone interested in joining? I myself am an Australian and will be on often during the oceanic peak hours, as well as many busy US times (I have a few days off a week.).

I am looking for a second "Guild leader" who lives on the east coast of the US or a similar timezone.

The other initial members will be valued highly as well. You rock for joining a new guild!

The server might be Sea of Sorrows, as I have heard it is the "unofficial oceanic server", and has many US players as well.

Let me know if you think another server will be busier during both timezones.
