    Armored Guild Application?

lol I try to find those oh so clever "Armored this and that" titles to my posts... This.. might have failed.

    Anyways!

Looking to get involved in some pre-launch guild activities. While I won't be joining any guilds for a while, I'd definitely like to see what's out there and get to know the leadership/members of various guilds. This thread is just as much a "Get to know me" as it is a "Get to know you".

    Character Name: Armory
Nickname: Dew or Dewey. Can call me any of those 3 =P
    Age: 26 (March bday)
I'm in EST timezone, Michigan, and typically am online random hours. Tends to be fairly late, hardly ever mornings unless it's like today where I've just been up all night gaming.

    Past MMO Experience:

Ultima Online for around 5 years, beta tested it and played it off and on till around 2002.

FFXI as Nin/Rdm. Played that for about 6months.

World of Warcraft 5 years or so, Beta tested and played it till Cata came out.

Age of Conan (Horrible game @ launch, played for the free month)

AION Played it for around 2 months, but due to initial gold farming/selling fucking over the economy something fierce, it didn't go that well. Players were forced to buy gold to be competitive. I played a Gladiator, really enjoyed the class but the combat mechanics in the air were so broken that the class was useless in PvP for a very long time. Overall the game had too many shortcomings, hoping ANet and NCSoft will learn from them and not repeat.

SWTOR: Beta testing it. Good solid game.

I've plenty of experience in the genre, have done progression based raiding quite a bit, as well as arena as Rogue(me)/DPriest.. ArmsWarrior(me)/Restodruid.. (Rogue(me)/Lock.. ArmsWarrior/Restodruid(me), Retpally(me)/Restodruid. I really enjoyed Arena the most due to my competitive nature and the twitch based mechanics/learning all sorts of subtle tricks. My best memories are with guildmates raiding in TBC.

I plan on rolling a Human Guardian, with alts of Thief, Warrior and Elementalist.
Warrior could very easily become my main if it has better overall performance in PvP, I have my worries about a lot of the Guardian's utility being kinda lackluster in PvP, we'll see though. It might come down to how well I can help my team as a warrior hamstringing, knocking things around and putting out high damage as compared to the role the guardian has.. But I'm very interested in Guardian, and hoping that it will have a good spot on the team as a Util/DPS 2hander type. My main thing is I don't really care for staff or scepter, so if the Guardian will shine best in PvP by using those most of the time, then I'd much rather go Warrior and have bows to fool around with instead.

So hmm.. As far as personality goes, I'm easy to get along with for the most part, although I tend to swear a bit as I'm sure everyone is aware =P Words are words, if the situation calls for polite manners then sure thing, but if I'm just relaxed in a friendly atmosphere the language can be a bit strong. My use of strong language though, is hardly ever directed at anyone in particular. Usually just describing the intensity of a situation.

The Guardian doesn't just look cool, it looks fucking brilliant.

I'm finishing up my BA, got another year and half or so to go I'd assume. VERY close to my associates. My fiance is still in Japan, so I tend to be a huge nerd and online a LOT. This works out well for MMORPGs and raiding/pvp though.. So I guess there's that. Once I'm finished with my BA i'll be moving back over to Japan permanently, and so my timezone will be changing.. but we'll battle with that deamon when it arrives.

Yeah, Guardian FTW. I can't believe no one has left a guild advertisement here. Maybe it's because you said you won't be joining any guild for awhile. Well that's fine with me! It shows that you are mature enough to do a bit of shopping around before deciding which one best fits you. Clearly you know what you are talking about when it comes to MMOs which is great and judging by what you said, you don't sound like a creeper which is better That's awesome that you plan on moving back to Japan, one of our officers just moved there and he loves it! Anyways, I'm going to leave you our guild web site www.ShipHappens.GuildPortal.com we mostly use facebook but that guild portal site is our base of opperations. We also have a youtube account which we post on every Friday night. I'll leave a video to give you an idea what kind of fun guild we are...
